The cannisters are very well made and attractive and look nice on my counter. I keep the smaller container on my counter and the larger one in my pantry. My only concern is that I can smell the coffee when I put the sealed cannister up to my nose. Does this mean loss of freshness? Time will tell. For now I would recommend.

The 16-oz is great, works fine. I like it. But the 12-oz is a big disappointment. The first 12-oz shipped to me was so defective as to be totally unusable. The lid did not seal the container because it was either too large and/or it was manufactured and/or assembled incorrectly (think gigantic overbite). Also, the gasket would not stay connected to the lid at all and would flop out every time the lid was tilted toward closing. I could not figure out how to "fix" it so I requested a replacement. The replacement 12-oz was much better than the first, but still clearly exhibits manufacturing or assembly issues. It seals, but there is still a slight overhang not occurring on the 16-oz, which is flush, and I worry that it won't seal properly for long. I kept it, but I would not recommend buying the 12-oz until the manufacturer fixes the problem.

Good product, good coffee canister. A advantage is that it is of steel and therefore have no chemicals that are introduced into the body. The only disadvantage is that it is very hard to close and open, and you can get a pinch in your hand (hurt your hand) if you do not take well the canister . Thanks
