After trying several brands of stainless steel mugs, we found Zojirushi works the best for our needs. We wanted a container that kept drinks hot and completely disassembled for easier cleaning. It was easy to figure out how to separate the different parts for cleaning. No instructions needed if you are familiar with the brand.The white drinking spout can be unsnapped from the bottom. The top gray seal can be removed by pulling it off the insert. The parts can be replaced easily by calling Zojirushi. A big bonus is the sliding lock to prevent accidental leaks. It has survived several drops with no damage. We felt it was worth the added expense.

This is the pinnacle of travel mug technology. I am sure of it. The Zojirushi SM-KHE36AG is unlike any mug I have previously owned. Everything about it seems to have been carefully thought of and honed to perfection. The spring released lid pops open every time and locks back as to not hit your face when drinking. The body never gets too hot to handle and is a little grippy. The lock is simple and is easy enough to operate with one hand. The mug utilizes three silicone gaskets so there is absolutely no leakage, even when I rolled it across the carpet just after filling it with boiling water, there were no leaks or pops. Everything about the mug is high quality. The best and most important feature is the fact it keeps my drink hot until I am finished. I can even leave the lid open and it still remains piping hot for hours. The only thing I can complain about is burning my mouth a few times since I did not take care when drinking from my Zoji mug. If you are willing to spend the money, I highly recommend this fantastic mug.

I have gone through so many thermoses simply because there is always one part which doesn't come apart to clean and inevitably is the one part which has some residue/mold. I really like how you can easily take apart the rubber gaskets and put them back together easily for cleaning and drying.
