I first used this carafe when I ordered room service in a hotel. It keeps four cups of tea or other hot beverage really hot all day. I've often opened the carafe the next morning, and there's still some steam coming out of it. I found the Leifheit carafe here on Amazon and have used it every day since. I just love it and highly recommend it to you.

Bought this carafe about two weeks ago and have used it every day since then. I drink tea through the day, so I make a lot in the morning and this carafe keeps it hot all day. No joke! It is fantastic, and so efficient to only have to make tea once. My only complaint is that it's small (8 cups is 8 "european" cups, so about 6oz each maybe?). It's about four "American" sized mugs--12 oz or so. It also pours well (no drips) and can be set on a tabletop because of it's well-designed feet. Definitely worth the price.
