This thing is not worth 15.99! The photo makes it look like a substantial piece, but this is really just a thin polycarbonate container with a flimsy plastic spring plunger. Though it may not let air in when closed, it doesn't have a way to force air out, or to release expanding gasses. There's also a concern with plastics leaching chemicals into food products.Though it's considerably more expensive, I recommend the Planetary Design Airscape 64oz Chrome. I purchased this the day I received the so called Tightvac. It's amazing, and I'll be reviewing it next.

Wanted a better way to store my coffee beans and just happened across this on Amazon. Works good at keeping a tight vacuum seal on the coffee.
