Amazon.com description says this is dishwasher safe. Have to rely on amazon.com description because there is NOTHING in the box nor is there a sticker on the mug providing information on whether dishwasher and/or microwave safe. Before using put in dishwasher to clean. Came out cloudy. Contacted manufacturer. They said NOT dishwasher safe and said would send replacement. Decided to brew cup of tea in mug while waiting for replacement. The mug cracked on the inside while tea was steeping. It has been one month and no replacement.What a piece of junk...a tea mug is supposed to be able to handle HOT water (I did not even use boiling water).The only thing nice I can say is that it was a pretty mug if you don't use it.

Bought 1 and back for two more to give for Xmas. This is the best tea mug ever. Keeps water hot and lets you remove tea bag and keep your fingers dry and cool. As well as some place to put the bags till you're ready to toss it out. Ands it's microwave safe.
