Phenomenal!

I had purchased the Hamilton Beach personal one cup coffee maker on here Hamilton Beach 49973 Dcm Personal Cup Pod Brewer- Red for my wife as a gift. For some reason, I didn't realize that the Senseo coffee pods for this machine were discontinued and pretty expensive. So, I was trying to find a refillable pod, but everything I found said you could only use it with a "classic senseo" model...which, I had no idea what that was, considering the maker I purchased was a Hamilton Beach. I didn't want to take the chance. Then I found a "perfect pod" sealer/maker....that however was about $40-50 bucks. I thought, well, that's alright I guess. She can use her own coffee. But again, that's still about $50...too much for me at the moment. Enter the saviors known as Disposapods. I didn't see any reviews for this product, but I figured, for $11+shipping, for a pack of 100 pods and a mini sealer, I was willing to give it a shot. I ordered this product on Saturday the 30th of June. I received it yesterday, the 2nd of July (THAT'S TWO DAYS). I was very shocked at how quick I received this product. Now it was time to test it. My wife cracked open her case of Folgers coffee and filled up the pod. No instructions come with the actual product, however, if you just go to the product description on here, there is a full list of instructions as well as some optional steps you could try out. We filled up the pod, sealed it with the mini sealer (so awesome), cut off the excess (which isn't necessary), and plopped it in my machine. I was a little nervous at first, but it brewed fine, and tasted great! My wife was very happy. If you're looking for something that fits your budget, doesn't compromise on taste, and actually WORKS in your Hamilton Beach personal one cup brewer (as well as a ton of other one cup brewers that take pods), this is THE ONE TO GET. Not a "duck" type thing...not a pod sealer for insane amounts of money. The sellers of this product ship insanely quick, the pods work great, the sealer is small and perfect for this product. I honestly can't say enough great things about the seller and the product.

A lot cheaper than buying prefilled pods.

I have a Hamilton Beach Pod Brewer and these refills work very well, but found the instructions lacking. So here is some notes on how I fill them. * Use a medium grind coffee suitable for drip coffee makers. * Pour the grounds into a shallow bowl to make them easier to scoop out. * Use a funnel such as Norpro to make it easier to get the coffee in the pods. * If you don't have a funnel, you can make one out of aluminum foal. It will not be as good, but will be much easier than trying to fill these without one. * Using a measuring spoon, put 1.5 tablespoons of coffee into each pod. It seems like a lot, but that is what it takes. I opened some pods from MELITTA and Senseo, and measured the amount of coffee in each type. The prefilled pods hold 1.5-1.75 tablespoons of ground coffee. This is reasonable. My single-serve Coffeemaker with a basket used 2-4 tablespoons of coffee per cup, depending on cup size. * You will need to push the coffee down into each pod. The funnel can help with this. * Seal each pod. It takes 2-3 seconds to seal. There is no need to cut off the excess filter, just fold it under. * I get about 40-50 pods per 12 ounce bag of ground coffee. This is reasonable. Melita pods have 18 pods per bag at a weight of 4.4 ounces. So 12 ounces of ground coffee would be 49 pods. Some other things to note: * If you make a lot of pods, store them in the refrigerator or freezer. The coffee goes stale very fast because the pods expose the coffee to air. * The sealer gets very hot and can burn your hands, so be careful to not touch the sealing end of the device. * The sealer can also be used to seal Easy Pack pods if you have some of those and no expensive sealer. Just remember to seal all the way around.

These really work for both coffee and tea

These make your own pods with the mini sealer work. I bought the inexpensive Hamilton Beach pod brewer for my daughter to take to her office and thought that these might make a nice addition since the Sensa pods are both hard to find and expensive. Before giving the brewer and pod replacement filters/sealer to her, I had to play with both first. The mini sealer does seal the filters. A hair curler does not however. I didn't try using an iron so I can't say if that way to seal works or not. I have found that a finer grind, like expresso, works best in these filters, you get a better strength when the water goes through the filters. You don't have to trim the ends, and the filters work even if they aren't sealed, just fold them a couple of times and tuck the fold in the brew basket. I use a regular teaspoon to fill the filters and buy my coffee at our local Co-op because the coffee is great and the "burr" grinder gives the right consistancy to the grind. My advice for the best cup of coffee using these pods: 6 oz water, fill the pods with your favorite coffee, fine grind, and brew 1 pod to 6oz water at a time, then make another if you want to fill a 12 oz mug. And, of course these little filters work great as make your own tea bags, I bought a box of the filters for my own use in my teapot.
